      Hello,

I am rendering a bathroom scene with SU 6 and Vray 1.05.03. But the WC and seat and handles come out bit faceted. Is there a way to smooth their surfaces? Will smooth and subdiv do it?
      Please see attached image.
Thanks in anticipation of your reply.

Its hard to say without seeing your model, but the first thing to do is to try smoothing the lines. You can do this either by selecting the lines that are creating the facets->right click->soften/smooth. The other way to do this is to get the tool and hold ctrl down while you go over the lines, this should have the effect of telling SU to treat the whole thing as a single face, and so remove the faceting.

That can also be avoided in the modeling stage, if you know before hand it will be rendered and you want a smoother curve, by setting the curve segments to a higher number.

          My avatar is an anachronism.
