Serial number issues
-
This is very odd. I attempted to upgrade to Pro 7 this morning and when I gave Google my serial number I received this reply (serial number has already been upgraded). No it hasn't. That is what I am trying to do. My office has two licenses. I tried the very same upgrade on another computer with a different serial number with no problem. One of us now has SU 7 but I am the odd man out.
Has this happened to anyone else? I submitted a report to Google but no reply.
Thanks,
Tim

Maybe you have a beta tester secretly working in your office and he already upgraded one computer?

I wish it was that easy. This is bizarre. My credit card is burning a hole in my hand.

are you in Vista ?
if so you have to run the program as an administrator to license, otherwise no chance. -
No, I am on a Mac. The other license was also Mac.

Are you sure you gave them the correct number? You might ask them to resend the licensing e-mail to you.

Did that too and they sent me the same number I had, very weird.

I re-read the instructions and saw that to upgrade all you needed was an earlier serial number. Since they didn't accept my Pro 6 number, I got my Pro 5 number out and was finally able to upgrade. I was a little disappointed that no one at Google responded when I contacted them through the SU website. At least here I know folks are listening.
I am up and running. Thanks for the feedback.

As far as the google people not responding, my guess is they are busy since they just released version 7 and they are getting a lot of inquiries.

That was clever

Cheers
