      Hello.

I want to have these dosch people in my model for render. I import them as 3ds but can't see anything except a blank component. Here's the FAQ of Dosch they say it's possible to open up in any 3d modelling program:

"In order to insert the cut-out image into your 3D-scene, just import the planar 3D-model and apply the corresponding color- and alpha-map to it. Depending on your 3D-application, you need to use the normal alpha-channel
      or the inverse alpha-channel"

I have the images, their alpha versions black in white and white in black in all jpeg, tiff, psd and 3ds files. But couldn't figure it how?

Their human model is a 2d model with a man standing in black background, so I am just guessing the black background must be some kind of full transparent so that in render only the man is visible. And for that they have these invert versions etc...

      Thanks for your interests.

        Welcome to GSCF XIII

You can convert .psd and .tiff to a .png which works with GSU and most render engines.
