Rotating text
-
Hello all
I just have a simple question but it has stumped me for 2 days now!
I would like to know how to Rotate Text? you see I have done a site plan of my house and I need to add the streets above and adjacent to my house, so I need to rotate the Text (street name) 90 degrees right.
if someone could help me I would be very much appreciative
thank you

Use 3D Text, which you can manipulate like any other geometry.

I knew it was going to be something simple
when I use 3D Text it seems to come out blocked and eligible, I have changed all the setting I can find and I can't find anything to make it look the same as Standard Text, is there a Font I should be using
and thank you very much

Note that from a distance, the edges (which are vectors and always 1 pixel wide) of 3D text make the text rather illegible.
To work around this, edit (double click) the group, go to wireframe mode, select all the edges and hide them. Turning back to normal rendering mode will display much better results (certainly you need to paint thise faces something dark).

If you have the pro version, you can do what I do and label things when you're in LayOut. Text boxes can be moved and rotated in LayOut like any other object.

I found a simple way to rotate "text".
Use a dimension instead, then edit the dimension text. However, the dim lines may be a problem.
