Mech (Kerkythea render)
-
Hi guys,
I've been designing a Mech in SU. (a Mech is a large walking vehicles controlled by a pilot)
This is the first render in Kerky:
Now it looks like this:
-
Looks good i like it, the only thing i would say is to loosen it up a bit, at the moment it looks quite rigid also a lot of the beauty in the mechs that i have seen in 3d warehouse comes from the level of detail put into them.... so the design itself looks very simple but all the detail is indicative of how it would function making it a lot more interesting
keep up the good work

Thanks for the comment.
I know the model is static, I have to move a few joints around to suggest movement.
Need to add a few details as well I think. Maybe some lights or battle damaged parts. -
slip a chuck norris in there somewhere...
it's awesome, reminds me of that game lost planet on the xbox360.

Good stuff, although i think you could improve on the texturing a bit.
in my mind a mech should look a bit used and dirty, so i reckon adding a bit of rust/general dirt to the textures would add quite a lot.

very well, keep working textures nothing more

very nice mech EduardoNL
also some nice renders, but i must agree with archi rag that it is a bit stiff
and needs bit more detail on the guns. I have never used any rendering programs so i should start soon...i need help getting the SU file into kerkythea. anyone feal like rendering some of my models go to http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?viewer=09071467558835797669&scoring=d to download them. -
Thanks for your comment!
I know the mech is a bit stiff, I need to move a few joints here and there to simulate some movement.
Looking forward to seeing some of your renders!
