Well, he's spot on with the reaction to Sarah Palin by Europeans of every political persuasion. A folksy manner, flashing smile and soundbite politics isn't remotely adequate for international relations...she's hopelessly out of her depth.
If you compare her to other VPs who had to pick up the reins of office...Teddy Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry Truman...even LBJ...she's just not in the same league.
I don't consider Obama to be exactly heavyweight either, but at least he's preferable to the alternative. McCain seems to have lost control of his party already...being steered against his better judgment into mudslinging...people walking out when it's his turn to speak at joint rallies...and he isn't even in office yet. -

It's obvious Palin is out of her league. When I first heard she was picked as McCain's running mate, I cringed, thinking he had just foreclosed himself from hanging the "inexperienced" tag on Obama.

Let us not forget (according to an article in Time magazine a while back) it's admitted Sarah Palin was McCain's third choice; the GOP rejected his first two... His third may be our First Mme President.

I have watched several interviews where she was confronted with the results of the inquiry into her misuse of power (that found that she did misuse her power) and she was grateful that she was cleared of any wrongdoing?
