Photomontage with SU & Aerial Photo

Can someone advise me or point me in the right direction with a current project i am working on. I have to create a photomontage of a proposed plant area onto an existing aerial photo. Whats the next step to with regards to materials to create a realistic image before i import into ps. I searched for tutorials on this topic , but nothing there.
