Sketchup opens with Bug Splat
-
I've logged hundreds of hours with SketchUp and now all of a sudden, when I try to open the program, it looks like it is opening a new model, but then suddenly crashes with a Bug Splat.
The day before, I had a glitch. My model went out of Perspective mode with a misplaced random keystroke. But when I tried to go to the menu and put it back to Perspective, nothing would happen. It stayed in isometric mode.
Other files were working fine so I opened a new file, copied the whole model and pasted it in the new file. That was tedious because the file was large.
It was after this session when I tried to use sketchup again, that it crashed right away.
I've tried uninstalling it, downloading and installing a new version. No luck.
I've done a disk cleanup, deep virus scan, and defrag. Still no luck.
I've downloaded yet another version and done a Repair. Still no luck.I NEED SketchUp, what do I do? Please help. THX

Try restoring your system to a time it worked fine.

tried this it just delays the bug splat attack a little!I get BS (bug splat ) at different times. My friend got it more often. There doesn't seem 2 b any pattern to it. Anyone figured this out yet?

Dear Flo,
Did you check your Windows update history to see if something happened between the good days and the bad days?
Are the folks at Google checking to see that Sketchup is not affected by Windows updates, and if it is, finding solutions?
Regards,
Bob
