Fluted domes n details
-
Gaieus,
Could you explain the use of scale tool in the second scene? I don't see the result of it's use. It looks like a follow-me was executed.
Thank you for posting the tutorial. I'm not building one of these, but it's educational none-the-less.
I hope we get to see the finished models here.

I think the scaling was to flatten out the arc a bit and so produce a slightly flattened dome, as in your image.

Thanks for bringing this up, Peter
Yes, it was a mistake - I corrected it and uploaded the new version.Remus - the scale tool was already used in the first scene - see the "Note" in the text for that arc
Voder - yes, another (nice) approach. And this time (though skin.rb is not really finshed yet as you complained previously) it does make nice job indeed! (And you have already included the thinner "ribs" which I still missed in this Tut-1)

I would say it was more of a "lament" than a "complaint."

OK, fine little details and distinctions between synonims a foreign speaker cannot always make difference between.

Very useful Tut. And FUN!

This would be good for Pumpkins and Halloween competition!

When I was ready with the dome, exactly the same parachute came to my mind
