    Hi everyone,

I have downloaded the trial version of SketchupPro 6 (on Vista), and I have sent a file to Layout, but when I try to open Layout, I get 2 messages: 'Unable to update evaluation time.Make sure that support/sketchup6.lf is writable' and 'valid demo version will expire in ... minutes'. After I clicked these 2 messages Sketchup Layout immediately closes.
I already tried to uninstall and reinstall completely, but nothing has changed.

Can someone help me with this problem?

In the meantime I suppose (only suppiose - because I don't know Vista) that your OS should be set somehow to let SU communicate with the system alnd allow it to set what it wants (like in the error message you posted).

LO uses the license key in SU so it doesn't look like a real LO issue.

Just to check, do you know if your trial version time has expired. If so SketchUp could have defaulted back to free version where Layout wont' work.

If that is not the case, what happens if you just try and launch Layout manually. I'm assuming before Layout was launching through SketchUp?

            Hi,

I have the exact same problem.
            Have anyone found a solution?

The behaviour is the same when I open LayOut from SketchUp or launch it manually.

              Same problem for me.
Using windows 7. I have changed already all the rights on the file and the folders but nothing works.

%(#000080)[I had this problem with Layout 3 when installed SU 8, in Vista,
the key to solve it was to click the right buttom of the mouse when pointing to Layout icon and choose] RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
it was a known issue, try it, it may work for you too.
