    Hi,

I have attached a file which is a topographical layout I need to produce.
This is the result I have arrived at after quite a considerable cleanup and simplification.

I had hoped that I could use the sandbox tool "Draw from Contours".
It works to a degree, but leaves far too many ugly gaping holes.
Am I asking too much of this SketchUp tool?
Is there a way of "filling" these holes?

I have also attached a small image file showing the holes that appear.

I'd suggest moving the mesh to the origin and also scaling it to the correct size. At the moment it only appears to be about 92mm wide. The small holes are produced because their dimensions are actually below SU's level of accuracy.
I tried scaling it to 100 metres wide and got no holes at all.

Also, after using the Sandbox, you ought to find that the new topo is grouped separately from the original contours...which can then be deleted or moved to another layer.

        Hi Alan,

        Yes, that was the problem.
I thought I had already scaled to the correct size and didn't think to check that.
Thanks for helping me solve this.

        Regards
