New Unofficial Fryrender forum
-
Hi all,
Since the official Fryrender forum is restricted to customers only and a lot of demo users asked me about using the Sketchup plugin, I decided to open an unofficial Fryrender forum. Off course, the forum is open for Fry customers as well.
Besides a 'technical' section, also a Gallery section is implemented, including flash support, so you can post your youtube/vimeo animations in a visual way.
Everybody is welcome to join!
As a note: I have nothing to do with Feversoft. I Just want to give the demo users a voice with this to help out. Here is the link:

Spread the word!

Thanks guys.
I informed the people on the official forum as well and asked some power users to drop in occasionally to answer some of the technical questions.@modelhead,
Rating a render engine is a difficult thing.
Compared to the other unbiased render engines, I like Fryrender a bit more than Maxwell render because of the 'do-all-in-sketchup' workflow and the extra features it has over Maxwell (animation,...).
Quality wise they are comparable so if you already have Maxwell I would stick to it.Fry is quite expensive. Luckily I bought fryrender in beta phase when it was offered at half price.
Off course, when considering the money, Indigo would easily earn first price and it is a very good renderer as well, though latest version has gotten a bit more difficult to control imo due to a re-write of the Indigo core.Comparing Fry to the so called 'biased' render engines(Vray,Podium, etc...) is difficult as they are not the same beast.
In my workflow, I like to have both an unbiased as a biased engine at my disposal.A current downside to FryRender (at least to my opinion) is that the instancing/proxy feature in latest version works less intuitive than in the earlier versions.
I hope they fix that in an update soon. -

I am not sure if I can retrieve the info as the activation email is part of an automated reply system.
Did you check your spam folder?
Let me take a look if I can solve this....Did you register as Remus?[EDIT]: I found your nick in the 'inactive' users database. I activated your account so now you are able to log in.
Let me know if you would still have issues getting on. -
Nice one Kwist, Thanks . I have just joined also . Not a Fryrender user Myself. Just looking into it. Following Your recent work there seems to be a great potential in it.
