Does anybody know of design contests to compete in?

Here is an interesting one - although it's rather a speed modeling contest than a "rel" design one (I was also tempted to join but finally persuaded myself not to):

There is the 3D challenge, you have a week to do the model.

Thats what I thought, Design is one thing ,modeling is another,the style and quality of presentation is Yet another. Seems like everybody is putting everything in the same basket. What is it then?

I was looking for design design contests. they will be done with SU but that's not the focus. Thanx for the great links so far.
