Hey guys... I'm new here, I have been using Sketchup for a while.. but mostly on my own without seeing what other people have been doing.

Somebody posted a link in another board of: Black Hawk and I was greatly surprise to see all those plugins that could allow me do different type of organic modeling that I though it was impossible in sketchup.

My question is... is there a plugin that would give me more control to UV map those type of surface?? as of right now, I use Rhino 3D for that type of jobs

    thanks
    Leo
EDIT - I posted some of my work here These are my boxes ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is one of the bigger weaknesses in SU at the moment. There is next to no UV mapping capabilities. As standard you get projected textures, which can be good for some things, although fall short in a lot of situations.

Whaat has also produced a UV mapping ruby, that allows you to spherical and cylindrical maps. You can find it in the ruby forum. Its pretty good at what it does, but its still pretty limited.

I wonder UV coordinates if it would export to maxwell. But then again I do have some UV spherical and cylindrical mapping in Maxwell studio.

I was hoping there was "something" more helpful ๐ŸŽ‰
