How to make these special shapes

Hi there,
im quite new to SU! Im trying to make a sketch of this beach chair. But its got some special shapes in the feet which flow over in the bed itself.
The bed is made of a kind of plastic which has an angle of about 45o. Check the pictures if some one could help me with i would appreciate it.
I tried it myself but i get a bit stuck at the joints of the bed and legs of the chair. I marked the areas greenRombout

With difficulty, althoug thats not a very helpful answer.
I think your best bet would be whaats subd and smooth plugin, although it does cost $22 or so. it is very good for organic,flowy shapes such as this.
