Podium Renders of Some Old Models
-
I'm going back and experimenting with Podium on some of my old models.
This first one is perhaps a little dark but I like the general effect.
-
A couple of renders of my second attempt at a Henry Moore inspired house. (Actually, I was just looking for some way to use Subdivide and Smooth in a house. )
-
I've been away far too long. I love your model - this may be old for some, but for me, it's like a first time
Looks great - I'm not a fan at all of the SU trees, or perhaps I don't think they look so great next to your wonderful model - but I am just enjoying the lines from here man... thanks.
-
Keep 'em coming Mr. Bartels, I really like the style.
-
Shaun and Eduardo, thanks for the comments.
Shaun, (or anyone) do you have any recommendations for better trees?
Thanks,
Fred

Formfonts has some good ones and 3d warehouse does as well... but make sure you check the quality on some of the ones from warehouse!

A couple of additional renders. The night render of the bubble building took a ridiculously long time (10+ hours) so even though I'm not thrilled with the render that's it for that model. The second is an interior of one of the Moore inspired houses.
-
Four renders from my first relatively developed curved green-roof house.
In this first one I neglected to explode some imported images I use as art work on the walls. Unexploded imported images don't render in Podium.
-
These are of a Frank Gehry inspired house I did last November. I made the curved walls using the Follow-Me tool. It would be MUCH easier to develop this concept using SdS and FFD.
-
A few more night renders. This time of a Zaha Hadid inspired house I created last December. A model which, by the way, was an absolute bear to make.

Fire Power Fbartels,
Yes, your on it, a Jack bird master of "bring it," when it comes to the funky shapes...
All the night light is moody make cool -- it's a full on party palace.
See that girl in the black pants? She must be talking to a friend down the hall -- a curve in white -- you know what their saying:
Girl in white, "really, this architecture is the bomb!"
Girl in black pants, "big kabloomy, I'm impressed,"
Girl in white, "I'm all about it. It's inspired."
Girl in black pants, "like a rocket, right up in front."
Girl in white, "swinging."
Girl in black pants, "don't look behind you, some freak's looking into all the curvy glass windows (that were Jack bird hard to construct"
Girl in white, "then push a button."
Girl in black pants, "you know it."
Girl in white, "it's really warm, let's take off our clothes. You have any of that tequila left?"
Girl in black pants,"sure, it's in here under the bed!"
Girl in white, "count me in, I'm on my way."

One more from another perspective. Clearly, there are some different perspectives on this work.
