Web Export help
-
The Web Exporter uses a folder named "results" which is in the Plugins folder here:
C:\Program Files\Google\Google Sketchup 6\Plugins\swivelButtonPlugin\results\
You will find all the image files and a single html file there. You need to have a host or server where you can upload the image files and .html file to. They all need to stay in the same folder on the server.
You can't do this directly on Blogger.

Chris: I'm trying to do this through the SU. Before arriving in the generation of files - oK. 'It's from there that it is difficult.
Jim: The question that I am having difficulty is precisely from this point - Host or server - That this somewhat incomprehensible, but I will consult a technician for me explain this process.
Thank you both for the help.
cheers -
Ahh, I see better now. I had forgotten about this web exporter plugin. So arqpadao, it exports a series of files - images and html docuemnt. The html document is a webpage. So to get the export to work, you would need to upload all the files to a webserver. This is a bit different than weblog or any other blogsystem because those do not allow you to upload webpages.
If you have all the images and the html or htm file it creates, I could upload it to my server for a while if ouy want to see it on the internet.
So I tested this plugin out and I am unable to get it to export anything at this point. It makes the spinning view just fine, but doesn't save the files anywhere I can find them. They are not in the place it says they should be..... I'll keep playing with it though.
Chris
EDIT: Sorry for being so dense in my first post
-
ok, I got it working. I don't know why it wouldn't save my files before. It worked just fine this time.
So now I have uploaded it here:
http://www.chrisfullmer.com/su/model_index.html
So if you wanted a webexport hosted somewhere, I could put on my server for a while, just like this.

Is there a chance to change primary disk (for example C:/Program files/Sketchup/..) to other partition (for example D:/something/...)?
I use Vista and is system disk so I cant write to C: without administrator rights (in other aplication system ask me if I want write on C: as administrator, I click YES and everithing is fine, but in web exporter I can do this) Or any other ideas how I can solve this problem? (I know...I can use XP, but it
s not the way) -
Ahh, I am also using vista and it wouldn't write to that directory. But once I changed the directory it worked fine. When you are running web exporter there is a button for "Change Location" So click on that and you will be able to give another location to save the files to.

arqpadao, all,
I haven't played with it personally, but I do know that you can get it to display in a Google Blogspot entry. Here's an example:
If you right-click on the image, and select properties, you'll see that the author posted his files on a 'googlepages' website, which he can link to from his blog.
I hope the above example can give you the hints you need to work out how to add to your blogspot page.

Yes, true. And it is actually embedded n an iFrame like this:
<iframe src="http://peterleroux.googlepages.com/2barrelcamel_index.html" width="360" frameborder="0" height="360"></iframe>
You can easily do this by editing the html code of your blog post. (The width and height should be the same as those of the images in pixels)

Thanks, but that's a problem, I can change directory but ONLY in disk, I can
t see other disks. So that
s does not solve my problem. -
oh wow, I see that now. I too am unable to save it to another drive. But I didn't need to. Did you try saving to someplace outside the programfiles(x86) folder? Seems like you chould be able to save it to your personal floder in c:\users\gashtan\documents\
That is where I saved mine succesfully (well, actually I put them in a subfolder on my desktop, but its more or less the same path). Try that,
Chris

you are right, that
s working , thank
s a lot...
but anyway, I hope, in final version it wouldn`t be so big problem -
Chris,
thank you for your attention and the offer of space on the server, I have some difficulty understanding the language of html, is not ground me. I have all generated files, images and html file. Me seems that the web export is an interesting proposal, but the end is not very friendly.Taffgoch,
Checked your tip on properties and I will try.Thank you to all the comments, always somehow be of help, showing a light on the horizon.

Where did you want to post the file arcqpadao? Do you have a blog on weblog? or where were you thinking to put it? Gaeius gave the code that you would use if you wanted to put it on a blog. You would just have to change the location that is listed in his code. But we could help you get the right location inserted if you let us know where you want to try to put it.

Hello Chris -
I have a Blog - http://arqpadao.blogspot.com -
I already have the images generated as well as html - \ SketchUp 6 \ Plugins \ swivelButtonPlugin \ results \ Cooktop \ model_index.html not only that I have idea of how to put it on Blog. I want a step by step, how to do it.
Thank you -
Hello Fernando,
I am using the web exporter , you can see some images in my blog.
http://traslacuesta.blogspot.com/.It is quite difficult to me explaining something in English. But I´ll try it.
When you activate the plugin in SketchUp, appears a screen to capture the first box you can put the pixels, maximum 600, below this " take shots every 40, 30, 20, 10 or 5 degrees, Just below there is another box where you can change the folder where the shots and the html file are saved. You are able to make a new folder. once the shots and the html file are saved, I upload them to a web page of Google pages, that I made for this task. When all the files are uploaded to that page, I select the html file an copy the link to put into this code.<iframe frameborder="0" width="610" height="610" src="[b]http:--------------------------_index.html">
</iframe>
Then I copy this into the blog. You can see that I put the heigt and the with at 610 px

Meu problema é justamente não conseguir colocar o arquivo html no blogspot, já tentei várias vezes e não estou conseguindo, obrigado. Tentei traduzir para o espenhol, mas ficou muito ruim. Espero que entendas um pouco de português.
