    Andrew,
Ive been using CityBlueprint for years as my main CAD font.....a hint of hand drawing but pretty readable.

[PS. The fairy lights weren't my idea]

I use a lot of them but mostly Arial and Avantgarde.

As a freehand font this one called Inkburrow has been
      one of my favourites latelly.

Thanks, Andrew... πŸ˜„ That's a very nice list... I already have a couple of them, but just downloaded the "jayneprint" and the "Lunabar" font... πŸ˜„
(Lunabar is even complete with all signs etc...)

Unfortunately I'm unable to find your personal favorite "frankthearchitect"... 😞
I've searched the entire net in vain... 😒

        Cheers

Bob (aka Greyhead) pointed me in the right direction... πŸ˜„
It's funny with these fonts, cause at some places you need to pay for it, while at other sites they're free... πŸ˜•

Without breaching any copyright laws or other infringement, you can get the "Frank the architect" font here... πŸ˜‰

          Cheers

Be sure to scan free font downloads thoroughly before unzipping them...I have heard that this sort of thing is a common vector for distributing viruses.

I personally haven't found anything like that, but you always wonder if it could be that my AV program just missed something...

For the past week or so I've been playing with fonts for both computer screen and for use in my work.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have prefered AvantGardeBT for some time; full bodied, clear and ledgable at typical printing sizes.

Then I stumbled on Elementary SF.

I find that for use with sketchup [and mostly sketchy output] this font is a nice contrast. Rounded edges and a balanced type similar to that of a stencil [for those who can remember...] I think I have found my new type!!!
And I now use Myriad Pro family for screen type, emailing, etc....

                  Cheers to you all!!!:D

Mateo - that's quite a list. Thank you!

I often use this: http://www.identifont.com/ to match fonts that clients require when wearing my graphic design hat. It will take you sometimes 20 questions to get your font narrowed down, but it gets great results most times.

I still really like architext - Grant's font. I use it lots. And of course Iomanoid (looks like the font used in Arkanoid video game from the 80's.. love that font! πŸ˜„ )

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.

You are all wellcome. I do a lot of graphic design but I dont use
a great deal of them either . I mostly stick to my favourites but
every now and then if a project is kind of special and requires
a certain type of font I go and search for one.
The trouble with that is that when You go looking for one it
takes You hours to find the righ one.
