Can't Input Height Distance

Hi,
I recently ran into a particularly annoying problem with Sketchup.For some reason when i use the Push/Pull tool, Sketchup doesn't seem to recognize any distance/height I input into the Z axis (Blue).
However both the X and Y axis are still working fine when i specify a certain length.Thanks for your time.

Is this something you can reproduce? or was it a one time thing? I am unable to reproduce it,

This isn't a one time thing. For some reason I can't input a specific height distance anymore. This seems to have become a permanent problem.
This is the second time it has happened to me, the first time was on a different computer along time ago so i can't remember exactly how the problem occurred. -
If you have a very large plane underneath the piece your trying to push/pull it can sometimes seem like its stuck, as its inferring the ground plane. If you move to a view very close to the ground plane you can often solve the problem (as you can see above the ground plane and thus infer above it.)
Might be something entirely different though...
