House on the waterfront (WIP)
-
Nice house, I'd skip the railing too; it makes one feel more free, as you put it too.
Which renderer did you use, and how did you get that water effect?
-
That last render is good. I'd go for a clear glass barrier with
minimal support structure ..... how deep is the water? -
Thanks for the comments guys!
I've flipped the roof so the heigh part is at the back, converted the back to an all glass exterior.
The water is about 1 or 2 meters deep I think, the house is situated on a lake. Here's some new render, hope you guys like them.

remus was saying that the up floor look a bit lower that it should be,but if u have the measurements it s ok
looks good so far but is having an aire of coldness

Thanks.
It is rendered in Kerkythea, using the water pack.
Very easy to get some nice looking water! -
Some new renders.
New lighter wood material for the top floor. Added some more windows.
Changed the front of the house.Got a question on Kerkythea.
How can I "raise" or "lower" the horizon so it fits nicely in the scene?
I'm talking about the global sky. -
You really do need railing. Why don’t you make glass panel railing if you don’t want to obscure the view? Today’s glass paneling can be very strong.
-
I'll think about it Ridix. Thanks
Any more comments?
Can someone help me with my Kerkythea question? -
Try inserting a global hi res-sky using the sun and sky settings, midday would look good, select spherical sky and then choose the required sky image, should get you going fella

Great work and so fast... do you offer work online?
Yes, I wish people would briefly state what rendering process they are using and additional tips if they have any, for those of us trying to learn. Thanks for including the info!
Treat the lake like a swimming pool. The doors have special locks so egress is controlled on that side.
Need a 3d person for some of the reflection shots. (sorry Bryce)

Nice building! I agree that the deck needs no railing. It is more like a jetty or something. I've been on a jetty smaller than that deck and it was entirely comfortable sitting there with nothing between you and the lake. Then again, unlike your model that water was quite shallow, so safety might be an issue.

Thanks for your comment.
Here's another house with the same kind of jetty.
