PLUG IN COPY ALONG PATH
-
Hi
i am trying to make a path edge of bricks . have built a component brick , then created a line which will be the edge of the path . Then use the ruby script " copy along path " .. it then copies the bricks along the path , but it turns them 90 degrees , which i do not want .... any advice

Open the brick component for editing, rotate the geometry 90 degrees in order to change the component origin directions, close component editing, save. It should work now.
-
You could also right click on the component and choose Change axes. Then set the axes as needed, the origin is the insertion point and the red axis will run along the path.
-
and how can you for example make a car follow a path, so that it's rotation is always aligned to the path itself?
[Edit] o.k. copy with spacing... -
Thanks Dave
I was having some trouble with a component you made it all clear
