Unclosed Objects??

Iam working on push/pulling objects and some of the objects are white that i push/pull and other objects are a bluish gray. is this because those objects are not connected? How do i go about finding where it is not connected at or could I just print the layout without showing the dark gray objects on my floor plans when its printed.
