Perspective reversed?
-
Somehow my model is displaying with the perspective reversed, so the more distant parts appear larger. What have I done and how to I fix it?
-
Sounds like you might have gone in to parallel projection, just go camera->perspective to put it back to normal again.
If that doesnt work its probably your field of view that has been messed up, to sort it out select the zoom tool, type 35 and press enter. This should set your field of view back to the default 35 degrees.

Remus, I thought the default was 30*? Isn't that what we see using our normal vision??
-
Its set to 35 i mine, there is a vague whispering in my head saying that it is different between free and pro although it is a whispering in my head, so could will be wrong. Either way youll be hard pushed to see much difference between the 2.

Oh yeah, oh course! Thanks for clearng that up. Now that you say it that way, it makes much more sense logically. That is in fact how I would normally do it, though obviously I haven't had to do it in a while and I had forgotten off the top of my head. Thanks for stepping in and correctifying my mistake.

I had heard we can sort of change our field of view between 30 (indoors, on more focused objects) and 60 (outdoors in large open places). I don't know if its right, but I go with that and often st my field of view around 60 outside.

EDIT: I got this backwards, read the next post by Diego.

Hi Chris
it's actually 'best' the other way around. A 60 deg FoV indoors allows for a better sense of the interior space and affords simulating our natural experience emulating our periphery of vision; outdoors, depending on the distance to the objects of interest, it creates extreme distortion. A 30 degree FoV +/_ equates to normal 50 mm lens, the typical focal depth.I don't mean to sound too pedagogical, but make a point of how to adjust the FoV when I actually teach the topic.
Cheers,

I set the FoV at 60 for all my interior views. Diego is right, it makes a huge difference in being able to see more of the interior.
