Using Scale Tool
-
Hello everybody
I've just notice that, when pressing CTRL, the scale tool uses centerpoint as an anchor.
Quite useful for symetric changes.
Let's try CRTL-SHIFT and Scale Tools : interesting results.
It works for 2D and 3D forms.MALAISE

Sure the modification keys are VERY useful with the scale tool.
I use the Shift key a lot for it scales uniformly with grab points otherwise would scale only along one direction. Now the "benefit" of scaling on sides instead of the corners (that would scale uniformly by default and shift can be used to change that) is that you can use SU's inference engine to snap to certain other geometry (while it is impossible with the corner grips).

Thanks, Gaieus for theses hints.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I've been doing a lot of scaling of grouped objects and components and these little tidbits will help my aching mind.
