What would be a good workflow getting your Sketchup model into a 3D PDF ?There's an RPS application they are pushing on the Google SketchUp site, but if you had the Acrobat Pro 3D you could just import an OBJ or 3DS file. I believe I could do it with Photoshop CS3 XT with those same formats, although I don't have time to experiment today. I'm sure there are other ways of doing it. But I really haven't seen a need yet.

Check out Deep Publisher, it's free and you can use skp-files directly...
I thought I had to export to 3DS, but it open skp-files directly..!!

I only knew Deep Exploration - and that is not free. I just tried to export a 3D-PDF the other day with adobe acrobat (in vain of course

Thanks Frederick for that useful link...Deep Publisher sounds like a great solution for making 3D PDF out of SU files.
From what I read on the web, foxit is working hard to support viewing 3D PDF's. -

So there is no free solution for me...

I can't see the option to view 3D Pdfs's with that app, or am I mistaken?Sorry, it's just a little alternative PDF viewer with no 3D support.

I have Acrobat Pro and have thereby no problem converting to 3D PDF documents...
Unfortunately I can't check it today, but I'm sure that there's another free pdf-converter with 3D support that can do the job... Let me check a few things...
In the meantime, you can use Deep Publisher to include 3D models in your PP presentations, which is also a very handy feature...

Hypercosm can be included into PP presentations as well and it also has a free version.

It took me hours to figure out how to use Adobe's text tool so I could insert text in a PDF. You would think it would be a noticable and clearly marked icon on the basic toolbar.
