i think it would be a nice addition to the knife tool (or zorro) to have a free hand function, to quickly create this type of scenario (and others like it)

I would have thought youd be better of adding really fine detail like that through texturing, even so itd be a pretty cool tool.

yes, a "zorro freeform" tool would be great - along with the ability to use zorro in parallel projection.
oh yes, and in addition to the freeform a "zorro polyline" would come in handy...
and now lets get really high-spirited...
