Push/Pull Question
-
Probably a simple question: How come sometimes when i push/pull a face the original face disappears and i have to draw an edge to make it reappear, and other times the tool seemingly works properly with the original face staying visible after the command?
Thanks.

Archi,
It's one of those mysteries of life.
If this happens, tap the Ctrl key while push-pulling, and the original face will be left there.

LOL!!
Thanks Jim.

Yes, I often wonder about this as well. And though Jim's suggestion works, it leaves a reversed face there only so a couple of extra clicks are needed.
I think it depends on whether the face originally was to be an inside or outside face or being an ascendent of another face but I am always too lazy to invesigate this.

I don't think there is consistency in this. It's the same with punching holes: Draw a face, pushpull it to some thickness, draw a grid (with Windowizer, for instance) and push-pull one grid face to make a hole. Now start double-clicking on the rest of the squares. Most often than not, some of them do not make a hole, but leave two z-fighting faces instead, or then at some stage the bottom face of the box disappears completely.
