Neon Lights

I feel really guilty asking loads of questions, but hopefully one day I'll be able to answer someone elses questions!
I want to make a various coloured neon panels for a bar like the attached picture, but I have no idea how to do it.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Tas,
Other than placing an image displaying these neon light there is no other "normal" way to do it. There is however a plugin that can create lightin effects in SU, here is the website:

Tas*, here's a crude model of an idea I think might work if pushed a little (though not near as well lightup...if you play around with the background color and intensity, and the frosty glazing as well (maybe making the inside frosty a different material so to play separately) it gets close.
