Sketchup waybe

Hi and thanks for droppingt by and letting us know. It does seem to be an extremely exciting tool and there are a lot of people who would definitely be interested.
-
do you think anyone would go through all that effort to make hoax videos? perhaps there is a good reason for not making the plugin available yet. i would say wait a little before jumping to conclusions.
-
I'm not making conclusions - just telling that is seemsto be exciting.

We're getting ready to do a beta release of Waybe. Check it out at http://waybe.weebly.com

Thanks Jim!
(I guess you have also applied )

Er, blubb,
You apparently need to be an approved beta-tester to use that download. The download will install the plugin, but won't initialize in SketchUp, unless you enter an approved ID (name) and key (password.)
I applied for beta-testing many weeks ago, but apparently wasn't approved, as I never received a response.

taff, if you just click ok without putting in any info it seems to work, although i didnt get the icons showing up in the toolbar properly and i got lots of 'ruby console' things in my windows menu, not sur if this is just a bug in the script/program though.

View ---> Toolbars ---> WaybeAnd remus is right- there´s no PW needed.
Here´s a screenshot from a unfolded cylinder with the Waybe icons:But the "auto-unfold" command replies with an error-message...

The toolbar is there, its just the icons within the toolbar are blank, im nto too worried though, im sure i'll manage without it.
-
Thanks, guys, I'll give it another try...

Hallo,
beta of Waybe-plugin is available on Waybe Website: http://waybe.weebly.com/waybe-beta-installer.html
It creates a lax at every side of the surfaces- nice for papercraft glueing, not useful for my sheetmetal work, for this I prefer Jims GREAT unfold.rb
Have fun
btw@Gaieus: nice looking board here

Hi blubb,
Thanks for the heads-up! Is this a newer beta release (the first one I could never get to work). Or actually, I'll drop in to your beta forum anyway.
-
Hello Gaius,
i don´t know more about it as you, i´ve found it via Google and looked around it at the web to get more info. Now i´m landed here and shared the info.
PS: It´s not nice, to change the subject in the Google usegroup flattening thread to "spyware"
regards blubb aka mulumululumu
PPS: Whatś the coin in your Avatar? Looks not like a follis...

Ha was it you there? Well, August warned the groups there. What is the site trying to install then?
Sorry if it was a mistake but that site is often spammed and such and is not moderated almost at all and this is the only way people can "defend" or "warn" others. I cannot edit my post there but I can delete it if it really was a mistake.@unknownuser said:

well, "follis" actually means "bag" or a small "sack" (a purse for keeping coins in it). This name then was used to really invaluable (inflated) money in the 3rd century because they did not even bother with counting them one by one but gave them away (used them) packed into these folles.
This is a coin of Emperor Gaius (aka Caligula) from the first century and as it looks it's made of bronze (maybe it was coated with silver). I just got the image from the web and cannot really remember the correct description.
Just to get back On-Topic - I am (was?) member of the beta team for Waybe but from the very beginning I had problems with running the script at all. I'll check back there and see if there is an updated release (it seems so if they made a public beta).
Edit - I went back there, checked the link and there wasn't any "spyware" or something. Edited the topic subject back. Sorry about this.
-
I got an email saying Waybe second-round beta testing would begin around June 1 or 2.
You need to fill out this survey to participate in round 2.

Hey all,
We're currently conducting usability studies on Waybe in the greater Washington DC area. If you have an hours worth of time between now and July 1st, we'd love to hear your comments on the software in person. In return, you'll be given a free license to the final version and a $10 gift certificate to Starbucks.
Give me an e-mail at waybeco@gmail.com, and we can set a time!
Thanks,
Ron Urwongse
