With right wind it looks like the space frame could lift the entire station off the ground.
Fred, I was thinking the same thing myself, No way one would be able to construct something like that where I live. The wind pulls up trees off the ground at times.
Great design and presentation, well done. -
very slick, i like it.
and chance of a quick explaination as to how you created this space frame, i'm looking to do something similar for a project and i'm not sure where to start.
loving your work

My hat off to you, Nguyen...
This sure is a really nice presentation..!! -
Nicely done!
You have come up with a very interesting design and have done a really good job of presenting it.
Also looks like a very nice piece of modelling.

Do you mean Massimiliano Fuksas?
Indeed very good tensile structure. How do you model it? Soap skin and bubble? ...windowizer?yes , that's it.
I use "soap-skin-bubble" and "tube-along-path"
why do you think "windowizer" ? I dont realize how that plugin help me in this tensile structure.
-
I'm not very found of it but I think windowizer could transform a flat mesh into a 3d structural grid... like yours.
That's all...
