I applied a texture of 8000x5078 pixel to a model, but when i tried to copy that model in another file) it was with a solid color. Then i tried to load the texture file to my other model but it give a message saying "unable to load (texturename).jpg".
Can anyone help me please? The image was jpeg 729kb.

    hope you understand me.

A 8000X... is really really big.
I can imagine you went over the limit with that.
What would you use a texture that size for?
My guess is that a lower res would be sufficient ?

SU cant actually use textures bigger than 1024x1024, so thats where your problem lies. I think it's something to do with opengl on macs only working with a 1024 max size, so to keep the 2 compatible both the pc version of SU and the mac version of SU have the size limited to 1024.

You can quite well use a texture that big, but SU will downsize it to 1024 pixels. It is not too good at that, so it is better to downsize the file in Photoshop prior to using it in SU.

So your problem should not be of size. SU has recently been reported to have difficulties with JPGs with embedded EXIF camera data that have been imported from the Mac to Windows. Also, SU cannot use images with the CMYK colour space.

          Just suggestions

Attach the model (and the image file separately as well) so that we can look intio it - if possible.
