      Hi
Long time SketchUp user (pre-Google),and still impressed by the sheer simplicity of being able to create 3D models with such an intuitive interface.
I prepare Architectural style models for new and proposed buildings and desperately needed to render them with a lot more realism than SketchUp can offer. I've tried 3DS Max, Kerkythea, Maxwell, etc but my brain isn't anywhere big enough to grasp anything except basics. SketchUp just 'clicks' with me and I bounce around quite happily. πŸŽ‰
Dream: Google spend a few squillion and develop SketchUp with a professional renderer built into the software with a toolbar that can be used as the model is developed...materials become reflective, glossy, textured (bumpy) as work progresses and the renderer imparts photorealism...dah dah! 😍
Came across Turbosketch...felt dizzy with excitement...bought it, downloaded it (after several attempts), installed it...toolbar appeared within SU...went dizzy again, too good to be true....ready to rumble...then can't find TS material dialogue box. Read the help file, 4 times...re-install 3 times..email TS for help (no reply as of), join this forum as an attempt to find an answer...is TS any good..? Does it work...? Does it do what it say's on the tin..? All reply's greatly appreciated...sory to ramble on but I thought I'd found the answer...thanks 😒

Have you asked at the turbosketch forums? http://forums.turbosketch.net/

Theyre more likely to be able to give you an answer.

          Remus,
Thanks for taking the time to respond...yep I've posted on the TS forum...no replies as of yet...surely to God with SU such an awesome, intuitive design tool and yet no comparable renderer....?
Am I going crazy or is there an opportunity to develop a SU renderer that actually works...with the simplicity of SU...?
          Regards m 😲

Theres always podium. Its about as simple as oyu can make a renderer. At th emost basic level you jsut apply a reflection value to each surface, turn on the sun and press 'go'
