Follow_Me tool not creating all faces
-
Most of the objects I model are small bodies of revolution, on the order of 3-4 inches long, max.
Some of these models have small surfaces, on the order of .020". If this surface is perpindicular to the axis of rotation, the follow_me tool appears to be failing to create the face.
I've checked to make sure the contour is closed before using the tool.
any ideas to remedy this? I'm getting frustrated enough to just wait for my copy of SolidWorks to show up in amonth or so.

As juju said, SU doesnt like small faces. I believe it is to do with opengl.
Again as juju said, just scale your model up to solve the problem.

Hi folks.
SU cannot close a face whose at least one edge is smaller than about 1 mm or 1/16 inch. This apply to faces that are drawn manually with the Line Tool, for example, or automatically the "Follow me" Tool, for example.
The workarouns is as posted, scale up and, when done, scale down.
Just ideas.

One sure fire way is to scale your model up (factor of 10 or 100?) as I think you're pressing the envelope with SU precision working at such small scale.
