Wow great that's nice to know, is it the new Thea engine btw? Sure it's looking nice, warm and vibrance colours, great contrast,
looking forward to test, damn so many renew (and great) rendering apps coming out this year, Thea, Podium, Twilight, Vue, Vray,.. and I'm sure I've forgot
to add some to the list.
Btw, will I have the need to have a key for testing?

      Greetings πŸ˜„

    • RE: Interior scene (Vfsu Mac) Update 12/01/10

@ Frederik, Thank you Frederik, glad to hear this, btw is there any new news for TW on Mac? I noticed the same on the palm, actually it
is a good quality model(from Solo's pack) but it has been my fault to forget to re-apply the texture which I noticed in the morning when
my render is finished, this monday me and the client will be 'previewing' the renders, afterwards I'll render them all so all glitches are gone
      with possible new proposals.

@ olishea, Thanks man, I'll take this into account for the final renders! The environment were merely 2 minutes, I can't exactly how much
time I've been putting in the materials as I make and apply them while modeling, it requires some skill and make look a bit sluggish in
beginning, but after you've learned the first steep curve it won't be too much hassle, let's say it could've taken me half an hour or less,
notice that I made all materials from scratch, so I haven't imported any.

Thanks for the post folks !

I love them, really a nice mood, I just don't get it how you could see that as a sketch hehe πŸ˜›
I would love to achieve such quality in NPR!

Btw, do you have more info to share about Podium 2.0..? Sounds very interesting ^^ 😍

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments, it keeps me driven, hehe πŸ˜„

@d12dozr, I've got the same comment on the carpet in the ASGVIS forums, it's ment
to be a 'hairy' carpet though, but I'll lower the multiplier values. πŸ˜‰

Here's a new render I've made, more to come (still a bedroom, kitchen and exterior to do so)

    • Interior scene (Vfsu Mac) Update 12/01/10

      Hi Folks,

Just wanted to share this with you guys, here's an interior I rendered with the current
release (inside the testing group) of Vfsu on Mac. It's my first Vray render I'll be using
in a commercial project, so feedback an constructive criticism is openly welcomed.

    • RE: Stuff That Isn't Other Stuff

Hmm interesting, all this talking about gallery's, as my mom's an artist (and I was following the course 'Art and Architecure/Interior Design at high school) I'm sure your work could find a nice spot in gallery's, my mom has a few contacts in Antwerp (Belgium/Centre Europe) for free as well paid gallery's,
I doubt it may interest you as it's far far from where you are located, but oh well, I felt like telling you πŸ˜‰

Besides all this, I really like the form of the faces and the overall shapes, if there's one kind of 'design stream?' I'm really in love with, it should
      be this one.
If you're interested in discovering more from these forms in architecture and overall design I would seriously
suggest you to take a look in the magazines 'Mark' and 'Frame', great magazines with a step before on unique
architecture.. Just suggesting, the chance you know them already might be quite big πŸ˜‰

      Cheers,

    • RE: [WIP] house - C&C

Great to hear these were helpful, yes you were right, it was getting to white, if I may suggest an other thing, I get why you're making a mirror in the island, it
'creates' more space, but I really wouldn't do that tough, if you still want to create a somewhat larger looking space I recommend you to make it anodized aluminum (doesn't scratch too easy) with an indirect illumination that comes from the countertop down to the ground, you get what I mean?

And not to forget, here you have the wood texture (I took this from the maxwell material library: http://resources.maxwellrender.com/ and credits go to paxreld.

    • RE: [WIP] house - C&C

      Hmm looking nice, as a point of view from an interior architecture student I would add some more color as the following;

-It looks like you like the color red, white and red are a good combination you've made IMO but I would make the color
come back on some spots, like on some walls, here an example of which walls I would make red (btw, if you plan to use it don't
use plain red, but a somewhat deeper red which will create a nice mood with your indirect illumination.

      post_004 copy.jpg

-Also you could try to use a warmer coloured wood, don't get me wrong by saying warmer more 'red', but a darker
wood with more brown in it.

Hope this might help you and you like it, of course this is just based on what I would prefer to have and some knowledge from school..

      Cheers,

Looking very good, but I would lower the opacity of the line overlay and use a bit less of fog.
But that's just my opinion, it's looking very good already anyways.
