[Tutorial > Modeling] How to model cars

Well "some" about all models of real cars are imported....and not made by me, i posted those because i was looking for cars like those and wanted to share, i kinda have a big collection of cars so keeping tabs on who exactly made them it's impossible so i didn't give credit and most of them were on different sites uploaded by different people....
I feel i must give an explanation every time someone mentions those cars ......as you may have seen nowadays i preffer to post my own cars and stuff.
About tutorials, i would want to get familiar with the blueprint technique.The tutorial i've posted is only good for your own designs or close aproximations of real cars....but that i think will take a while.

Awesome thread, just what I was looking for! I do have 1 stupid question though. How do I use the tutorial you posted?

Download and open it in SketchUp. Then click from scene to scene - starting with scene 1. It just shows the steps she takes to get from start to finish. Good luck!

Load it! Menu View Animation / play for have an overview of the method

Then Zoom all
Select all
Copy past for have 2 lines of cars
Lock the first line

then try to remake each step on the second line (first stay alive)
Have fun modeling!

I noticed that, too.
Notre however that in many languages Marian is a girls' name. know that most of these names of Latin origin have both male and female versions but they are not always used. Like Andrea (which is actually of Greek origin) is a male name in Italian for instance but is female (in this form) in most languages.

So never mind the "slip" by Chris

I know that Gaieus all too well...there was no malice intended.I just felt i should point that out for future refference .

OK.

On a side note, I am also often taken for a woman by foreigners for my name. In our language there are no genders (like he or she) and many Indoeuropean languages have "a" as a female gender ending (on top of all, "Csaba" is a name of Turkish origin).

Ah well...

So I am watching this and can't figure out which plugin he used to get the first extrusion. The profile follows the shape in two axes. Any ideas?
