Some contribution to Coen's work
-
Hi all,
Well, if we look around here, we find that we ended up in a basically tutorials' website. I've been looking into this site before, too and found that though developing, not all the fields and topics are covered by the tutorials Coen (or other people - too?) have created so far.
Obviously it is not his full time job either and I can imagine that he hasn't always got enough time to develop the site (you know - the other board - SketchUcation - and the video tuts).
Now comes an idea; if we all would like to "thank" him for what he did for the Pro Community, how about contributing with one or two tutorials each? This way this site would be a real resource of "SketchUp How-To Techniques" - which was probably intended to be originally when he set it up.
Coen,
Please correct me if this is not the situation and stop me being an idiot
And All Others,
Please drop a comment or another kind of suggestion.
Thanks;

Good idea ! I think this site should have a major emphasis
on Education (SketchUp and Modelling) in general. Now ! I know Coen as we all do and he is fussy so I imagine
he will want to see the tuts set up in a certain way. I suppose
its his call if he thinks there is scope and he will let us know.Mike

Coen,
Thanks for the reply - "I was also afraid" of receiving such an answer - therefore my suspicion to be an "idiot" is proven now.
Well then, we have nothing left to do than to go back to work and produce things that may be of interest (and maybe also "inspiring") for others and thus contribute to this forum to be able to develop to something it used to be (and I believe the "older" members that in the past it was even more so).
Nothing to add now - maybe edit (or post a new reply) later.
Have fun (and good luck with all your other things to do - belive me, I - and most probably most of us - have enough of those, too!)

Well,
First it just came into my mind because we are now indeed here at SketchUcation.
On the other hand, there used to be (ahm... still is a "How-to" section in the "Old Forums", too, though it was mainly intended to provide some basic knowledge (however some were obviously useful)I don't know really - especially if the whole community is not interested, there shouldn't be another "useless category" I think. I myself made a few tuts, too (as I also post a lot at the Groups Forum, mostly to help "newbies") so I think tuts can be useful.
I'll think about it and we can get back to this.
