Create a second folder called Pluginstest next to the original plugins folder. Place a copy of any plugins that you want to test, and their subfolders and helper files, in the test folder.
When you want to test, close SU and change the name of the Plugins folder to PluginsFull and remove Test from the name of the other.
Now when you start SU it will use that folder. Change the name back and restart to return to your full setup.
This is assuming you don't have any stray plugin folders that you or other installers have created. Twilight for example creates a plugins folder in the Program data tree.

If you are using the Sketchucation tools plugin you can create sets. Create a full set and create an empty testing set. Using the testing set you can enable individual plugins to see if they function correctly.

I have a problem with this plugin. Apparently it does not work if the component has already been rotated.

I often drop my components (cars) on a mesh with this plugin, then change the mesh and have to reproject my cars properly. If I just move again my cars above my mesh and use again SmartDrop, the result is not good anymore. I had to reset the rotation of every component before calling the plugin for good result.

Did someone is able to modify the plugin to correct this problem? Or have you a solution to quickly reset the rotation of a component ?

      Thank you!

I am still having a devil of a time trying to get this to work. I would like to set o set up an SU 2015 (B folder) for just testing plugins without effecting my current Su 2015. Anyone know how to do this?
