PLANT COLLECTION
-
Hi people,
I spent a vacation day on making a library of (pot) plant models.
The individual models were originally obtained from the 3d Warehouse. I tried to improve their textures and colors (mostly desaturating them) so they can be used in your external render application.I tested these plants using PODIUM render.
See my render results below.NOTE 1 : Some colors of the textures are altered within Sketchup. Some Render applications (for instance Maxwell) take the default colors of the original imported texture. So Maxwell users may have to change the texture colors in Photoshop before exporting.
Here are the links to the models:

Beautiful results, really!
I always have problems with plants when rendering - they look so unnaturalistic no matter what I do with them. These ones are just great, thanks! -
Very nice collection and render Kwistenbiebel.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you guys.
Your appreciation is inspiring. I am thinking of assembling an additional TREE collection of good 'renderable' realistic trees. 3D warehouse doesn't seem the best resource for that unfortunately so maybe I will need to convert trees from other free ressource sites (.3ds/.obj).Thanks again for the kind remarks,

Here is the first tree I made using the good old 'Tree Factory'.
It's not really a 'defined species'.BROADLEAF TREE (.SKP attached)

excellent! Thanks!
Keep those trees acomin'

Thanks Guys
Actually I have made some more......
You can download them from the thread I made on the Podium render forum....
Some are kind of High on poly count but with good layer management it should work.
Maybe I will make some 'cleaner' and thus lower file sized species.Click here:

I hope some people would like to help to create some more trees this way?...Here an example of a Willow tree I made:
