unfortunately is not available yet due the fact that I am completely busy with Podium 2 nowdays.

I cannot say when it will be released (or if it will be released, maybe SU7 will have video support anyway), but if someone wants to continue the development we can talk about.

oh wow, this is amazing! I knew there was a great deal of talent in the community, someone does something that no one else has done before.

                Hi,

I have done some similar work but all in pure Ruby as a proof-of-concept. Rather than decoding AVIs etc directly into OGL textures, my ruby just uses flick-book texture strips. I too don't see myself finishing this off anytime soon so I'm happy to throw this in the pot too!

Just thinking . . between this and AdamB's lighting plugin . . its all looking quite exciting! but you really have to wonder what on earth the 'official Skoogle Development Team' are beavering away on? More style builders?

I just "happend" upon this thread today. Yes it IS 2010 after all and it seems sadly that Skoogle Dev Team is still pumping out style templates but not much else. Here is the range of emotions that pretty much describe what i felt after reading this thread...

LightUp has gone the way of animated textures using movie "strips" which works pretty well. I've attached an example SKP file.

And here an old vid using the same animated candle movie strip:

Not video files, but images with all the frames in a series?

Exactly. So its not a solution for watching "Gone with the Wind", but for adding a little dynamism like underwater caustics, fires, flames etc, it works very nicely.
