Here is my first contribution to the new forum.
An idea for a front facade reconstruction
      for the local shopping center.

        Mateo,

Nice design and presentation. Very soft for a retail building. Some questions if I might.

Here in the state, vertical retailing (more than one story) is a tough sell since its hard to drag shoppers up more than one level. Your structure seems like four or more levels. Is that commonplace?

Here in the states a retail building would be plastered with signage announcing the names of the tenants and your facade is serenely absent of signage. Again, is that customary in your area?

        Thanks for sharing your work,

        Allen

          Thanks Allen,

My intention here was to show the type of presentation that I am
really confident of lately. It is a combination of dennis method and
some styles I have developed with time.
Not that many of my customers see it that way.
They would prefer I give it to them in a clean out of
SU manner and that is what they usually get . This one was done
for my pleasure and for posting on this forum.
The actual building is 30 –40 yrs old and I wanted to show the
structure itself emphasising the façade and the metal construction
canopy which is the main part of reconstruction at the moment.
And You are right about the signage however.
The signage does exist at the moment but as I said , I intentionally
left it out. Not only does it take away attention from the new design
proposition but it also takes away from architecture.
My message would be – no signage is better than bad signage
          design together with inappropriate maintenance.

          Picture says it all:

Beautiful design and presentation, Mateo. I wonder about the practicality of the canopy, though. Looks like the space between the two planes is a perfect spot for pigeons and other birds to roost.

                My avatar is an anachronism.
