Hi I am working on the construction drawings for a simple house and have two SketchUp files; "December" and "reeves details". For an unknown reason, the "reeves details" file did not save correctly in SketchUp, and I now have a much earlier file saved than the version of the file in Layout that it is now using. In Layout, it used to be possible to extract the SketchUp files from Layout. Is that still possible? When I tried to extract the file, the version of Tye reeves details; as it was saved, it came up; I wanted to extract the Sketchup file with details as in the Layout file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What version of SketchUp/LayOut are you actually using? Please complete your forum profile.

Yes, The LayOut file is just a zip file. Use a ziputility like 7-zip to open it and copy the .skp file out of the ref folder.

Alternatively, in Document Setup>References, unlink the .skp file from the original reference. Then right click on a viewport and choose Open with SketchUp.

Note that if you've modified any of the scene properties for the viewports in LayOut, changes to those properties in the SketchUp model will not appear in the viewports unless you reset the properties for the viewports.

Where have you been saving the .skp files as you are working on them?
