Alphabet to sketch(up)
-
I am revamping the sketches and doing the final touches and here are some more images of the book/ The book is designed to encourage hand-sketching and at the same time one may make 3D models of the sketches using our beloved piece of software, SketchUp ( or any other 3D package). I love the loose nature of hand sketches as it provides me with sence of freedom and creativity.

Majid, you have some real skills. I wish that I had your drawing skills and thought pattern. I am an older guy who enjoys the capabilities of software like SU but have problems coming up with ideas like I see people like you display/share on forums like this one.
-
Thank you for the compliments, I appreciate it! I personally believe that creativity is teachable and I had a practical experience shared briefly on my LinkedIn page. (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/creativity-teachable-majid-yeganegi). I personally am a hard worker rather than talented, I believe. I could soon publish the book and you find it handy.

I did a rough 3D and composition of one of the sketches.
-
WOW
In particular that water fall is really neat!
-
To be honest, from sketches to models there still is a gap that needs creativity.
I also did not judge myself while sketching, which is why some sketches somehow seem illogical. -
Excellent What render ?
-
Twilight + Krita!
Searched for and find a waterfall image, rendered the model separately, and matched them. -
Went and had a quick look at Krita. It looks pretty neat will have to give it a try.

Don't forget that quasi any Ai can import your "architecture alphabet" !
Prompt was "integrated house dark forest stormy sky rocky mountain small water falls"
At night Cafรฉ https://creator.nightcafe.studio
You must just put a mask on your "Alphabet" (made inside NightCafรฉ)
You can make any number of free images if you take "small" sizes & regulates...
image following is not retouched! So any retouch can be made! With other IA or the free French FotoSketcher ! (for PC & now quasi for Mac)
Gallery are square images shown but original was like your choice!
If you want more big size use the free UpScayl (in local) x4 or x8
So in 1536 x 2304 -
And i receive that in my mail!
But don't panic only me can buy it! -
Else take a look at this book!

wow, amazing result! nice discovery as always, Pilo!
-
@pilou, I do not understand what your posts on this thread are trying to contribute.
-
Just for avoid this painful process!
"Searched for and find a waterfall image, rendered the model separately, and matched them." -
Maybe my problem is I do not know what โalphabetโ is all about. I guess you were trying to explain/share more about combining images.
I was not trying to be impolite. If I was, I apologize.
-
No problem!
-
I like your approach Pilou, as there is no need to be precise and these sketches are drills to improve imagination, creativity, and modeling skills (if one models them in their favorite 3D modeling tool. They are rough sketches of "architectural-like" forms and one may consider them as a game for volume/facade design. Creativity may start from everything and I started from the alphabet as they are abstract forms between pure abstraction and geometry.
I would like to have your feedback.
Also I saw the book you mentioned Pilou and it seems interesting except for the fact that I do not know even one French word! -
< I do not know even one French word!
No problem there are only 1 000 sketches!
It's a support of imagination for imagine architecture from a simple drawing!
I notice this one because it's exactly your process!
"the alphabet as it is an abstract form between pure abstraction and real-life geometry"I have modelized hundred of them with Moi3D for the fun but the author don't want that i publish them! h..
Yep tittles are in French
