Lock Parts by locking layer of parts

It would be nice to be able to lock all the object in a layer just by selection lock this layer.
Or am I missing something. Is there a plugin that will do that?

Thank Box for the heads up. I will try that. Note, that "Lock by Layer" does not show up when you do a search for extensions. Now that is "curious".

lock by layerHowever it is often easier to search for just a word and and scroll through what comes up.
I found this by just searching in the store for 'lock'Edit: a quick tip incase you are using the search box at the top of the page. That searches the forum.
Click PluginStore just below it and search there.
