Fujidana!
-
This is my most recent Fujidana, a Japanese inspired post and beam shade structure.
Fujidana in Japan are actually wisteria arbors, there are many styles some are huge, I just borrowed the name for any of my timber and bamboo shade structures.
I like wide, sheltering roof overhangs, this one has 38β on the sides and a full 4β on the front, South side.
The 6x6 Posts, 4x8 Beams and 4x6 Rafters are rough sawn western red cedar, a very nice outdoor use timber. The 2x4 purlins on top are smooth clear California redwood.
I'm liking this SUp 2021, all the images straight out of SUp no fancy renderes needed!

I got the bamboo from a place just up the coast from me
https://www.foreverbamboo.com/yeah after playing with the settings I like the 2021 exports, the lines are a little heavier which shows off the straight lines of the structure,
and exporting is a lot faster!
