Heyo!
A few years back I used a plugin which allowed you to randomly divide a face into smaller 'segments, ie. creating random rectangles on a rectangular face. Does anyone know the plugin I speak of?
Cheers!

Yes that was a function of Protrude by Jim!

A very cool plugin

Not sure you can download it again...an old one linked...
One funny use

1 each face from Protrude is transformed in Component by TIG in the Ruby consolem=Sketchup.active_model; n=m.active_entities; m.selection.to_a.each{|e|(g=n.add_group(e); g.to_component.definition.name="Face#1")if e.class==Sketchup;;Face}2 give height to each component
3 Component Dropper by Thomthom
Of course Protrude works also in 3D!

You have this new one Random by Alex Schreyer maybe you can makes the same ...
