      Majid,

You are exceptionally talented! I admire anyone who can create such beautiful watercolors. I have been frustrated all my life by my inability to create anything worth looking at in watercolor. I can do oils, acrylics, stuff like that (although it's been many years since I have done anything new), but watercolors simply stumps me. For me, a well done watercolor can beat even the best oil painting.

      Again, well done!

      Steve

Good to know that you do artworks Steve! Also thank you for the nice compliments!
I would be more than happy if I could help you to advance in your adventures in watercolor.

I am planning a set of tutorials that one may follow to buildup a solid base for her/his skill. They include easy-to-follow steps for a beginner to intermediate artists. The next titles include: water in the landscape, Sky and clouds in watercolor, Mountains, buildings, people, etc.... I hope many find them useful. The fact that I have been battling stuttering for years to overcome, and the fact English is my second language were the major challenges for me during the production process.
By the way, I think those who are keen to do urban sketches, landscape architects/students, and landscape painters will find it handy.

            Love seeing your paintings, Majid!

Is that Darius on the stone carving? I've been learning some of that history.

I really like the scene of the marina. I've always liked that sort of scene and spend some time at a marina these days. Creating such a great feeling of reflections in a painting is magical!

Thanks, Pbacot for your very kind words.
It is amazing that you have expanded your knowledge of history so vast. I am not sure about the people on the carving but here is the link on this set of carvings called Naghs e Raajab: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naqsh-e_Rajab
I love the water scenes too and they are challenging as you mentioned. the real challenge for me nowadays is depicting rainbows... ( the very first image on this topic: https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=179&t=73339)
I will capsulate all my experience in showing water in watercolor in upcoming courses.

                Pbacot,
It is a while that I am listening to "The Making of a Nation" podcasts by VOA. It seems that human history has been full of similar memories of invasion and defense. Greed, violence, loss, Xenophobia, and sorrow... Thought that "If it is not the time for us to move towards peace, yet?". I hope one day, at least our children, could see an everlasting peace and justice.

Despite the fact that till the moment, only 6 students enrolled in my tutorial series, but it got 2 five-star rates, that is really great for my first try. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

If you can check out Dan Carlin's Hard Core History "King of Kings" with much about the Persian history and the Greek-Persian conflicts. He does tend to concentrate a little too much on the extremes of conflict and brutality, but a good story teller. Makes you appreciate what peace could be in long line of conflict in human history. Another (less dark) podcast is "The
                    Ancient World" by Scott C.

I think the point is that the world is so full of people now, we have no choice. We are no longer able to be separate marauding tribes, because of the global effects from every conflict--and we need to work together to solve the existential crises we now share.

                      Thanks pbacot,
The long history of violence driven by greed and xenophobia may come to an end or at least alleviates if people try to understand each other. I hope we are so matured to manage it.
