      Of course i am interested!
      I wasn't even aware it was missing from the standard tools.
      But then, nobody will know which tool they miss until they need it.

        Fredo has some polylines dividers inside Bezier curves but not the same concept!

          I'd like to be able to select a bunch of connected lines and divide them into equal parts, with the new Clothworks plugin this will be very useful for ropes and wires. So, yeah, this gets my vote.

                @srx:
                Yes the tool will be interactive exactly like the "divide" option of the context menu, the red points are moving along the curve when you hover the curve with the cursor.

                      There are some dilemmas:
                      Will it build a new curve with straight segments between new vertices or it'd just split existing curve keeping existing segmentation? Ideally it'd be nice to give 2 options.
                      How it'd treat 'important ' say 90 degr. corners?

                        The curves would be easy to explode later.

                          We all know to explode. I asked something different. Imagine L-shaped (2 segment, 3 vertices ) curve. What methodics will be choosen to divide it to 3?

                            @rv1974:

                            in this case you'll have 3 possible results (depending on the option you select): 4 lines, 3 curves, or a single curve with 5 vertices.

                              Or single 3-segment curve with 4 vertices (original middle vertices will go away)??
