I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to link a Sketchup model to another file. I have a pdf file that contains the original idea for my Sketchup model and I was wondering if there is a way to link them together. If linking is not possible is there a way to make a "note" in the Sketchup model where I could include the particulars of the origin of the pdf file. Thanks in advance for your input.

There isn't a direct way to link the PDF to the SketchUp file but there's no reason you couldn't make a label or screen text that shows the link to the PDF.

You could create a PDF showing views of the model and combine it with the original PDF using LayOut.

Why don't you import the pdf into the model?

Since you're working on a Mac, you could indeed import the PDF. It'll just be an image in the SketchUp file.
