I've been too busy working on SketchUp projects for others that I haven't had time for any SketchUp practice. Finally got a chance this morning. A simple one based on a table from Italy, c. 1950.

Nice, texture looks like an Aussie timber; Myrtle Beech.
Remind me again please how you get the lines in the render?

To get the lines I make a hidden line export of the same scene as I use for the render. Then I combine them in an image editor. I set the layer for the hidden line view to Multiply and usually reduce the opacity of that layer a bit so the lines aren't so strong.

Got it, thanks. BTW, you still thinking of putting together a wood texture package for sale?

                  You're quite welcome.

As for the textures, I haven't really given it a lot of thought at all. I probably should. To be honest, it seems like most users are happy with little square wood grain textures and don't mind that they repeat. Seamless seems to be more important than realistic.

Here's another vote for some GOOD wood textures. The only reason I use the seamless textures is because that is all that is available.
