I am looking into expanding my truss plugin into larger timber trusses with bolted connector plates. Drawing the bolts and nuts doesn't appear too difficult to me. The only thing I'm a little unsure of is how to put the chamfer on the bolt heads and nuts. I'm thinking others have tackled this same issue long before I ever came along. If anyone has any suggestions or even algorithms that they wouldn't mind sharing that would be greatly appreciated. I'm not interested in modeling the threads on the bolts or nuts, that level of detail is not required for my application.
